The All-Purpose Chair is the ultimate testament to the enduring appeal of timeless, multi-functional design. An original 1950’s design from company founder, Lucian Ercolani, its precise, minimal form pays tribute to the meticulous craftsmanship and structural sensibility that Ercolani built his legacy on.
Today, the All-Purpose Chair is built in L.Ercolani’s furniture factory in the woodlands of Buckinghamshire, honouring standards of craftsmanship, quality and sustainability that are over 100 years in the making.

True to its name, this design's noble, unadorned appearance allows it to seamlessly blend into a wide array of environments and interiors — subtly enhancing its surroundings with a resounding sense of harmony, comfort and alignment.
Materials
Manufactured in solid ash, the chair is offered in nine bespoke finishes, including a natural finish and the new MODERN TONES series by Christian Møller Andersen.
