Designed by Big Ideas. Architect Bjarke Ingels & the design team from BIG Ideas created Keglen in collaboration with Louis Poulsen in 2017. The aim was to create a simple but unique pendant lamp focusing on geometry and the essence of light.

Each conical shade has a built-in curved opal insert. This ensures a both attractive and glare-free downward light. The white interior ensures that its light is reflected flawlessly. A gentle light is also emitted upwards through a uniform, discreet opening in the top of the shades which adds to the perfect ambiance.

This artistic and technical lighting collaboration has now resulted in an expanded Keglen family with table, wall and floor lamps now available.

“The geometric and metallic shades have a soft, organic glass insert that resembles a drop of water. In the table and floor versions, the glass insert meets the lamp stem and flows organically around it like liquid exhibiting surface tension.”
